In more than 20 messages sent between November 2020 and January 2021, revealed Thursday by the Washington Post, Virginia Thomas, an assumed conservative activist, pushes the president’s closest adviser to block Joe Biden’s victory in the election.
This 65-year-old woman, nicknamed “Ginni” by those close to her, is the last character in a gallery of colorful portraits of the American capital, then convinced – like millions of Americans – that the 2020 presidential election had was stolen from Donald Trump.
But “Ginni” is also the wife of Clarence Thomas, the judge who has sat for the longest time in the temple of American law, responsible for settling major social debates… and electoral disputes. Denouncing an unhealthy mix of genres, elected Democrats called on the judge on Friday to recuse himself from any file related to the elections.

“Do not concede” defeat, she says in a message to the senior White House official. “It takes time for an army to form.”
Without ever skimping on punctuation, Virginia Thomas challenges Mark Meadows directly. “I cry and pray for you guys!!!!!” she wrote.
The chief of staff is less verbose in his responses, invoking God to describe efforts to overturn the election.
The sexagenarian also pushes for the lawyer Sidney Powell to be responsible for leading the battle against these supposed frauds, which have been repeatedly denied. “Mark (I don’t wanna wake you up)…” she wrote on the morning of Nov. 19, 2020. “But it looks like Sidney and his team are inundated with evidence of fraud,” she said.
