Following the escalation, Israel’s Chief Rabbi David Lau issued instructions for the upcoming Shabbat in which he instructed to prefer to pray at home for anyone who needs to stay near a protected area.

Following the situation, Israel’s Chief Rabbi Gard Lau calls on the general public to add three chapters of Psalms to the success of the people of Israel and the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces who are currently fighting to restore peace to the cities of Israel.

The chief rabbi urges the public to obey all the instructions of the frontline command officials and not to take risks.

Rabbi Lau also said that in areas where you have to stay close to the protected areas, you should go to the synagogue only if you have immediate access to a protected area during the journey and stay in the synagogue, otherwise it is permissible and desirable to pray at home and not take any risks.

In addition, according to the rabbi, it is advisable to make sure that in every synagogue where he stays on Shabbat, he leaves a telephone available in case he doesn’t come.
