Most of the victims and the perpetrators are students of Centenary Primary School and Ferenc Móra Primary School. One of the reporting parents gave us a detailed account of the humiliation and abuse of 13- to 14-year-old children.
Our little girl was on her way home from Centi with her classmate when three boys surrounded them behind our house. One of the attackers attends Móra Ferenc Primary School, the other attends ours, and the third is one of their acquaintances. The boy with my child was spat on and beaten, and my daughter was not allowed to go for help, but was waved at with a lighter and threatened to burn her beautiful long hair. Then they told him with a laugh not to worry, because they don’t beat girls
– one of the parents who made the complaint told our newspaper.
The mother of the eighth grade girl told our newspaper that she then wrote a letter to the other parents and teachers in which she reported in detail what happened to her daughter and her classmate. Reflecting on this, another parent told him that his child was doing the same. After this really upset everyone in the elementary school and was a topic in the whole community, the other victims also told what they did to him. Finally, four parents went to the police in the first half of November and filed a complaint about the humiliation and abuse of their children.
“I think this problem has been going on for a long time, only the children didn’t dare to say things at home. My daughter also told me what happened to her only three or four days after what happened. The children couldn’t even sleep because of the stress, and there was one who was so freaked out that he cut his arm. He didn’t want to commit suicide, he was just so nervous. They were afraid that if they went out to the housing estate, they would be attacked again by the gang of a few people raiding there.”
The parent also said that there was a child among his daughter’s classmates who was threatened with being taken to the creek bank and assaulted with a gun. Among the abused children, there are also those who were recognizably posted on Instagram by the perpetrators in a humiliating pose.
The gang gathered around a 13-year-old boy who had a gas gun. The others joined him, including several well-to-do children. The parents of the victims do not understand how the parents of the instigator did not notice that their child had a gas gun and what he was posting with his friends on Instagram.
Most of the perpetrators are not even 14 years old, it is clearly the fault of their parents that they commit crimes at such a young age. They should be brought out the most so that no more such cases can occur
– said the mother, adding that after the case became public, they received all the help from the schools and teachers involved, and the children involved in the crime apologized to their humiliated peers.
As we reported earlier, four parents filed a complaint with the XVI. at the district headquarters on the second of November, and afterwards because they abused, made them kneel down and threatened their 13-14-year-old children with a gas gun in a public area. The perpetrators recorded some of the crimes with a mobile phone. The police launched an investigation into the case on suspicion of coercion, harassment and rioting.
After the 13-year-old boy caught earlier, today the investigators managed to catch another 13-year-old offender. We know that the police searched the homes of both young people and seized several things from them. We contacted BRFK to inquire about the details and to find out if there are more seriously injured among the abused children. We received the following response:
The police have so far identified two perpetrators, seized the gas and alarm pistols used in the crime, as well as the mobile phone. The investigative authority has no data on any of the four victims involved in the procedure regarding injuries that took more than eight days to heal, nor has there been any information about a child self-harming, and no reports have been received so far.
We also contacted the Northern Pest Education Center and its director to see if disciplinary proceedings had been initiated in the case, and what retaliation the abusers could expect. We were also curious about what they are doing to prevent more such cases from happening, and what kind of help the abused victims are getting to process what happened to them – we will update the article as soon as they answer.
Incidentally, in connection with the case, our paper obtained recordings – which have since been deleted from the social media interface – in which several perpetrators can be seen kneeling a child and kissing their shoes with him – the video is not made public out of consideration for the child perpetrators and their victims.
According to the penal code, a child under the age of 14 can only be punished for committing a particularly serious crime (for example, classified cases of robbery, robbery, life-threatening bodily harm, murder). Since the Code of Civil Procedure harassment, coercion and disorderly conduct are not particularly serious crimes – the police are now investigating them – therefore the two perpetrators who have been arrested and, according to our information, have already been interrogated are not expected to be held responsible.
