The children’s podcast ‘Dodoa’ has been presented

EITB has launched the ‘Dodoa’ podcast, created by journalist and poet Iñigo Astiz and musicians Jabier Muguruza and Mikel Azpiroz and aimed at children. It’s been a long road to this podcast. The first milestone was the album presented in 2021, with lyrics by journalist and poet Iñigo Astiz and music by Jabier Muguruza. Now, combining Basque and music, and with the help of the musician Mikel Azpiroz, the project has been completed and completed. The latter has worked with the piano and as a sound technician.

Through the conversation of the three, the audience will discover who the cow, the sheep, the lion or the boa constrictor are. And along with the beasts, one or the other ghosts will also be revealed in this six-part podcast, always trying to clarify Dodo’s doubts along the way. The image of the dodo is made by Pedro Balmaseda. In the songs, together with Jabier Muguruza, the singer Nieves Arilla will be present.

Dodgy dodo and other fantastic beasts

As they explained in the presentation, the aim of the project is to cultivate children’s imagination through singing and listening. The first episode aired this Monday and now a new episode will be available every day from Monday to Saturday.

The album was accompanied by Nieves Arilla, Mikel Azpiroz, Jean Marie Ecay and Karlos Arancegui and was published by the Mara Mara record label founded by Muguruza in 2005.

In the entertainment fiction site of the EITBPodkast portal, in addition to ‘Dodoa’, we will find several podcasts aimed at children, among them the audio book of stories ‘Lo Potolo’, the fiction ‘Sara and Paul’, and ‘Ipuin Txiki, Soinu Handi’.
