Jaylen’s mother, Aimee Mason, said he came home from school in a lot of pain that day. Mason says he later became depressed. Aimee accused the teacher of being racist and that the teacher knew nothing about African hair. It was Jaylen’s first day at Robert Clack School. He left for school with great joy. Aimee says that the new school and new friends made him anxious.
