The Chinese brand CHERY lands in Israel with turbo-gasoline engines and aggressive pricing

Carso Motors launched the marketing of the Chinese brand CHERY in Israel today (Tuesday). In the first phase, three SUV models are being launched in Israel, all with a 1.6-liter turbo-gasoline engine with a power of 186 hp and a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The top model is the off-road vehicle Tiggo 8 Pro, which comes as standard with 7 seats in three rows. It is 4.72 meters long, and it stands on a 2.71 meter long wheel base. The standard equipment includes, among other things, a panoramic roof window, a fully digital dashboard and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen. The safety equipment includes an advanced package of active aids and a peripheral camera. The price of this model, which competes with models such as the Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan Xtrail, etc., starts at about NIS 168,000 and goes up to NIS 180,000 for the most luxurious model.

The second model, Tiggo 7 Pro, stretches 4.5 meters long, and its wheelbase is 2.67 meters long. It has five seats, and its equipment package is similar to that of the larger model and includes, among other things, an electric rear door and more. Its price starts at NIS 155,000.

The third model is a completely new compact crossover, which Israel is the first market in the West to receive. It is 4.4 meters long, 1.59 meters high, and its wheelbase is 2.63 meters long. It will be offered in three trim levels, all of which have a full digital control array and many other items. Its price starts at NIS 140,000 and goes up to NIS 152,000 for the most luxurious version.

All models will be marketed with a five-year or 150,000 km warranty. The company claims that it will be able to provide “significant stocks”, including deliveries for leasing. According to the importer’s estimate, the volume of sales will be between 8,000-10,000 cars per year.

In the second or third quarter of next year, the electric models of the CHERY brand will also arrive in Israel, but their specifications are not yet known.

In the first phase, the marketing will be carried out from a main showroom on Hiozma Street in Rishon Lezion, inside the Karso complex. In addition, pop-up complexes will be opened on Rival Street in Tel Aviv, in “Kryon” in Kiryat Bialik and in Jerusalem and Be’er Sheva next to the Nissan halls.
