Chinese President China“>Xi Jinping promised to open Chinese markets to Western companies, deal with the risks posed by the Ukrainian crisis on Europeans with understanding, and commit to mutual respect and peaceful coexistence between countries.
In an interview with Le Figaro newspaper, during his visit to France, the Chinese President stressed the strength of relations between his country and France, recalling that it was the first European country to recognize the new China.
On the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Xi Jinping appreciated what resulted from that step, in terms of building bridges of exchange between East and West and the development of international relations towards dialogue and cooperation, and mentioned the cooperation between the two countries in the field of aviation, civil nuclear energy, trade and culture.
The Chinese President reviewed what his country had done on the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, the work that transformed the country from a poor and backward country to the second largest economy in the world, thus achieving – what he considered – a miracle in the records of human development.
In his economic message to France, Xi Jinping said that China would be happy to introduce more high-quality French agricultural products and cosmetics to the Chinese market, to meet the growing aspirations for a better life.
Xi Jinping stressed that his country, along with France, wants to maintain the spirit that governs the establishment of their diplomatic relations in order to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between them and make a new contribution to enhancing cooperation in the world, especially in the global climate agenda.
The Chinese President highlighted that his country, on this 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, will work on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-aggression, non-interference in internal affairs, equality, mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.
The Chinese President referred to what China, Myanmar and India put forward in 1954, which were called the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which are summarized in: mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, mutual non-interference in internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.
