The Circular Economy Innovation Center (CEIC) Madrid de Vicálvaro hosted the II Innovation Summit in the Circular Economy which analyzed the work carried out by the center and the ecosystem companies promote the principles of sustainable economy in the city of Madrid.
To this end, round tables were held in which we discussed the new technological solutions that are transforming production processes towards more sustainable models, as well as the circular design of products and services, with debates by representatives of leading companies in the sector and hospitality of the territory. strategies to integrate circularity from the initial stages of the process.
This meeting also included an exhibition space for innovative products in the field of sustainability and circular economy from startups of programs developed by CIEC Madrid in sectors such as water, 3D printing, furniture recycling and renewable energy. And it included a visit to the research space on nature-based solutions that promote a just ecological transition, generating sustainable employment with inclusion and social cohesion.
Furthermore, participants were able to experience a FabLab demo, where innovative digital production applications based on the combination of technology and creativity were presented. This space is an example of how new technological tools can transform the production model into a more sustainable and efficient one.
With more than one hundred people present, including representatives of large companies and institutions, as well as more than 60 startups and other companies that are part of the CIEC ecosystem, this center continues to consolidate itself as a dynamic space for the Vicálvaro district and a hub for the circular economy in the capital.
