Kollam: The police said it was a relative who gave the citation to kidnap a 14-year-old boy from his house in Kottiam. According to the police, a financial dispute related to the child’s family was behind the abduction of Quotation.

In 2019, the child’s mother took a loan of ten lakh rupees from a relative. As this was not returned, the relative issued a citation to abduct the child. The police also said that the quotation amount was Rs.

Azad’s son Ashik was abducted by a gang from his house in Fatima Mansil near Kottiam Kannanallur Valimuk on Monday evening. When the parents went out, the gang broke into the house and grabbed Ashiq and took him away in the car. At the time of the incident, only Ashi and her sister were at home. Ashiq was kidnapped after attacking both of them.

The police started an investigation into the incident and found the child at the Parassala Kozhivila check post hours later. The group’s plan was to enter Tamil Nadu in an auto with the child. Meanwhile, one of the two people in the auto ran away when the police stopped them. The police caught Biju, another resident of Marthandam, and rescued Ashik who was in the auto.

The Poowar police had tried to stop the group from Kotiam in a car with Aashik. With this, the group left the car and shifted Ashiq to the auto. After carrying him in the car, the quotation team made Ashiq unconscious. Then when the police came into sight, the group left the car near Patialamuk and split into several. Two of them tried to enter Tamil Nadu in an auto with Aashik.

Both of them told the auto driver that Ashi was unconscious due to alcohol. But when they were about to cross into Tamil Nadu, the police caught the autorickshaw they were traveling in at the Kozhivilah check post.

The police found that there were nine people in the group that kidnapped Ashiq. The investigation has also found that before the incident, they had been roaming in and around Kottiam in a car with Tamil Nadu registration. Later, after confirming that his parents were not at home, the accused attacked Ashiq and abducted him.

Meanwhile, Biju, a native of Marthandam, who was arrested, gave a statement to the police yesterday that he did not know about the others in the gang. He revealed to the police that he was involved in this for a fee of one thousand rupees and that the person who was with him in the auto was a doctor.
