The city celebrates Szeged Day on Széchenyi Square

On Széchenyi Square, the city celebrates Szeged Day on May 19. The ceremony at 11 a.m. IV. It begins with the laying of a wreath on Béla’s statue, and continues with a festive assembly from 4 p.m. Mayor László Botka will give a speech in front of the City Hall, after which the Honorary Citizen title, the Pro Urbe awards and the Memorial Medals for Szeged will be presented here. The premiere of the choral piece written at the request of the city of Szeged will take place in the Rókus church from 7 p.m. The next day, the honorary citizen of the city of Szeged will adopt a book in the Somogyi library, while free city hall walks are organized on Sunday.
