The General Directorate of the Civil Guard has issued a report to the president (a rank-and-file agent) and the general secretary (a non-commissioned officer) of the pro-Civil Guard Association (APROGC); and to Jucil’s spokesman, Agustín Leal, for having failed to comply with the principle of political neutrality by having spoken out against the amnesty, having shown his willingness to defend the Constitution and maintain his oath to the Flag.

As Benemérita sources have confirmed, they are removed from service for three months, while a very serious offense is imposed on them.

Apparently, those sanctioned plan to appeal and assert the principle of freedom of expression, while arguing that among the duties of the Civil Guard is the defense of the Constitution, complying with it and enforcing it.

It is unknown if any similar measure would be adopted against the leaders of the other four associations that published statements in the same sense for criticizing the investiture agreement agreed between PSOE and Junts, considering that it “attacks” “judicial independence”, while they have denounced that the investiture pact implies his “expulsion” from the Basque Country and Catalonia. They added that it was “an attack” on “judicial independence”, thus breaking the separation of powers, “the basic pillar of a rule of law.” In an “absolute respect and defense of the Constitution”, together with their “unwavering loyalty to the King” and their defense of the rule of law, they have censored the point of the agreement that establishes the creation of investigative commissions in Congress on judicial proceedings. and of the Security Forces and Corps during the Catalan process.
