While “the LRs are in a small room to discuss among themselves”according to Mr. Lucas, he believes that “the government chose haste”. “After the rejection motion, democratic logic would have wanted him to withdraw his text and at the very least take the time during the confectioners’ truce to think”continued Mr. Lucas.
A few minutes earlier, the president of the PS group in the Senate, Patrick Kanner, also denounced this situation. “If the CMP cannot take place normally, let it be postponed… If the majority and the right do not have an agreement, let them postpone” in January, he estimated, while the CMP is still suspended due to a disagreement between the Macronists and the LR.
