Strengthening of the CNDD-FDD in Makamba: Warm welcome for hundreds of new members including 222 ex-CNL.
Burunga (Turtles), 31/12/2023 – In this period of Umuganuro, marking the end of the year 2023, and with indescribable joy, the Honorable Ndikuriyo Réverien, the very popular Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD, the leading political party in terms of balance of power in Burundi, paid a visit to Sampeke in his native hill. He participated in the reception, organized by the local CNDD-FDD Section, of hundreds of new Bagumyabanga (name of CNDD-FDD activists), including 222 former members of the National Congress for Liberty (CNL), having left their political formation because of the leadership centered on a single person, Rwasa Agathon. The Honorable Ndikuriyo Réverien underlined the importance of actively contributing to the current socio-economic policy in Burundi. For the occasion, rabbits were distributed to the Bagumyabanga in order to promote rabbit farming.
