From Morocco to Israel: The coffin of a Chabad emissary for more than a decade in Casablanca, Morocco, the righteous Rabbi Shalom Eidelman, who died on Passover a year and a half ago at the height of the Corona plague and was buried on probation, will immigrate to the Holy Land. ‘In the Haredi Rooms’ with all the details

The coffin of the late Rabbi Shalom Eidelman, a Chabad emissary to Morocco for a jubilee year who died on Passover 5764 after contracting the corona virus, will be brought to Israel on Wednesday for burial.

At the funeral that took place on the second good day of Pesach 5764 at the height of the spread of the first wave of the Corona plague in the world, only one Jew attended and the condition was that he be buried on probation and that his coffin be allowed to immigrate to Israel.

Thus, in recent days, ZAK members have taken care of raising his coffin for burial in Israel.

Behadrei Haredim has learned that on Wednesday morning the coffin will arrive in Israel by private plane in Morocco at 10:30 a.m. The coffin will arrive at the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem and from there will continue for burial at the top of the Mount of Olives.

One of the community’s activists in Morocco tells Behadrei Haredim “Moroccan Jewry is a good acquaintance of the late Chassid Rabbi Shalom Eidelman who gave his life and family for Moroccan Jewry, for over 50 years in the mission of the Chabad Rebbe. “Morocco because he knew he had entrusted the community with halakhic hands. Therefore, it is important for everyone to come and pay homage to the righteous, especially those who died during the days of the coronation of the Corona in Morocco, and were buried in the status of individuals only.”

Thus his disciples of Chabad and the Shluchim are asked to come to pay their last respects to the Rebbe’s Shlichim.

May his soul be bundled in the bundle of life.
