Due to the danger of more intense thunderstorms, the National Meteorological Service issued a second-degree (orange) warning for Tuesday. Stormy winds, hail and large amounts of precipitation are expected in the vicinity of the thunderstorms.
In the warning sent to MTI, it was written: from Tuesday morning, thunderstorms should be expected along a cold front coming from the west, first in South Transdanubia, and then gradually further east. The main sources of danger in the area of thunderstorms are stormy gusts of 70-80 kilometers per hour – in a severe thunderstorm there can be winds of 90-100 kilometers per hour -, hail and intense rainfall.
In some places, the amount of 20-30 millimeters per day can accumulate from the repeated showers in the southwestern areas. Thunderstorms are expected to gradually subside in the evening
