He Official College of Doctors of the Province of A Corua has obtained, for the ninth consecutive year, the ISO 9001:2015 certification in recognition of its quality management system. To achieve this, the institution has undergone an exhaustive analysis carried out by Aenor technicians, who studied the provision of services offered to its members, such as membership, defense of professional interests and information and support for its activity. For the renewal of the certificate, explains the collegiate organization, aspects such as the design and delivery of non-regulated training and the management of complaints, complaints and claims from citizens were taken into account.

All these processes have been subjected to a process of systematization and unification, with the aim that they are always carried out in the same way. The college has also implemented new tools to ensure the proper functioning of the services it provides, in order to increase efficiency and eliminate discretion.

The college president Luciano Vidnexpressed his satisfaction for maintaining this accreditation: Once again, the excellent management system that the College has is recognized, and it continues to position us as a benchmark for professional associations in Spain. We were among the first to achieve this, and today we continue to be one of the few college institutions that has this certification.

ISO 9001:2015 is valid in the 163 countries associated with the International Organization for Standardization. Since it was obtained in 2015, the Official College of Physicians of the Province of A Corua has maintained a strategy focused on growth and permanent improvement of its services. We want all the people and groups that make use of them to be fully satisfied and obtain results that meet all their needs and expectations, adds Vidn.

The International Organization for Standardization —ISO, for its acronym in English— is in charge of developing the ISO 9001 standard, which establishes the requirements for the approval of quality management systems. All organizations, public institutions and private companies can take advantage of it, regardless of their size or area of activity. The regulations have international validity, but when issuing a certification, each country puts the initials of the responsible national body before it. Thus, in Spain the name UNE-EN-ISO 9001 is used.
