At the Jaime Morón Stadium in Cartagena, the Colombian Women’s Team faced its Ecuadorian counterpart yesterday in a friendly match, preparatory to the long-awaited Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Colombian team, led by captain Daniela Montoya, fell with a final score of 2-1. Montoya scored Colombia’s goal, sealing a rare defeat in this warm-up match ahead of their trip to Paris, scheduled for July 15.
Coach Angelo Marsiglia lined up the following 11 players as starters: Catalina Pérez in goal, accompanied by Carolina Arias, Ángela Barón, Jorelyn Carabalí, Yirleidis Quejada, Daniela Montoya as captain, Liliana Salazar, Marcela Restrepo, Camila Reyes, Wendy Bonilla and Catalina Usme.
