jpnn.com – The UII Alumni Association (IKA UII) successfully held a golf tournament entitled Golfing and Giving at Sentul Highland Golf, Bogor, on Sunday (4/8).
Carrying a social mission, IKA UII is committed to aligning the healthy lifestyle movement and economic assistance for micro and small business actors.
A total of 144 participants consisting of alumni, sponsorship, and the general public attended to enliven this annual tournament. The categories contested were, Best Gross Overall, Best Nett Overall, Flight A (1,2,3) Man Category, Flight B (1,2,3) Man Category, and Flight C (1,2,3) Man Category.
Melky Aliandri, ST, MBA. as the Chair of the 2024 IKA UII DPP Golf Tournament stated, “The success of the 2024 IKA UII Golfing and Giving activity can be realized with the support of several sponsors. And of course, the active participation of UII alumni who are members of the committee.”
In addition to the sportsmanship of the participants, the spirit of sharing was felt during the spontaneous action of Mr. Lee, a Korean businessman, who donated Rp. 200 million for the social activities of IKA UII.
The spirit of togetherness was also present through the message delivered by the Chairman of the Advisory Board of IKA-UII, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfud MD, SH. in his speech, “Congratulations on the holding of this tournament. And I congratulate the participants who came out as champions, as well as those who did not win,” he said briefly.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Syarifuddin, SH, MH as the Chairman of the DPP IKA UII reminded that this golf tournament is a noble goal as a form of responsibility as UII alumni,
“As alumni of Universitas Islam Indonesia, the oldest national university in the Republic of Indonesia, it is important to remember that UII always upholds the entity of Islamic values and spirit. This makes us aware that in every activity there is a social responsibility of the community that must be carried out,” he said.
