Najaf Ashraf – WAA
The Commander of the Border Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Sakr, directed that his forces’ resources be harnessed to make the plan to visit the Prophet’s (PBUH) death anniversary in Najaf Governorate a success.
A statement by the Border Forces Command received by the (INA) stated that “under the direction of the Minister of Interior, the Commander of the Border Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Wahab Sakr, arrived in Najaf Governorate to supervise the implementation of the plan to protect the visit of the death of the Prophet (PBUH)”, noting that “the Commander of the Border Guards held a security conference attended by the Deputy Governor, the Commander of Najaf Police, and a number of leaders and directors of the security services in the governorate, which discussed the implementation of the security plan according to the established objectives, to protect visitors and Husseini processions.”
During the conference, the commander stressed the need to “harness the resources of the Border Forces Command to support the provincial police and make the visit plan a success.”
