Commercial tax department raids Tamil actor Suri’s restaurants A complaint was received that the food items sold in the restaurant were being charged without GST. This was followed by an inspection by the Commercial Tax Department. After the inspection, the team issued a notice to the actor to appear in person and give an explanation within 15 days.

A five-member team headed by Commercial Tax Officer Senthil conducted the inspection at restaurants in Madurai. The food items were charged without GST. During the investigation, it became clear that the food items were charged without GST and the goods were actually purchased without GST.

The notice issued by the Commercial Tax Department states that the owner Suri and other owners should appear in person within 15 days to explain the incident. Meanwhile, Suri is currently shooting for the film ‘Vithutalai’ directed by Vetrimaran. The actor plays the lead role alongside Vijay Sethupathi in the film. ‘Vithuthalai’ is also the film where Ilayaraja is teaming up with Vetri Maran for the first time.
