The Communist Party intends to appeal to the Supreme Court against the decision of the CEC of Russia to register the federal list of party candidates, from which Pavel Grudinin, director of the Lenin Sovkhoz CJSC, was expelled, Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov said.

“According to the legislation, the Supreme Court [мы можем] prepare an appeal for all the details and so on. I am sure that we will restore everything. We still have time, Supreme Court, there are five days [дается на апелляцию], the second appeal – another five days, “- quotes the words of Zyuganov TASS.

According to him, the party is ready to apply to the ECHR if the Supreme Court does not take the side of the Communist Party.

Earlier, the ex-wife of Grudinin, in an appeal sent to the commission, indicated that the candidate of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, according to her, has a foreign offshore company, information about which he allegedly hid when submitting documents to the CEC. We are talking about the offshore Bontro LTD in Belize, Interfax specified.

Since the ex-wife of Grudinin did not provide evidence of his offshore ownership, the CEC itself sent a request to the Federal Tax Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office. In accordance with the legislation, a candidate who participates in elections is obliged to stop using foreign financial instruments by the time of submitting his registration documents. The Prosecutor General’s Office, after checking, confirmed that Grudinin did not fulfill this requirement.
