Since it is considered “prescribed”, it has never been possible to get to the bottom of the matter since Agreal was withdrawn from the market by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (Aemps) for the very serious neurological and psychiatric problems that caused thousands of women.

The key to the case is the so-called «Agreal’s confidential dossier«.

This is a scientific document owned by the Sanofi group that was revealed in 2013 through the publication of a book in which its content was analyzed.

The book was the result of an investigation carried out by the prestigious forensic doctor Call Antonio and the professor of pharmaceutical law Teresa Alfonsoboth from the department of legal and forensic medicine at the University of Alcalá de Henares.

The diagnosis was made by Dr. Piga in 2014, accredited by the European Union and different international organizations. Thus, in 2005 the Agreal was suspended from marketing in Spain and later, in 2007, the EU suspended it, after receiving the “Agreal Dossier” from Sanofi.

In 2006, the seven women filed a criminal complaint against the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products and the Sanofi laboratory. The process lasted until 2009. The judges They interpreted that there was no biological explanation of causality between their syndromes and prolonged consumption of Agreal.

These magistrates relied on a fictitious report prepared by several medical and pharmaceutical societies for the Medicines Agency and the laboratory and so exempt from responsibility.

The “Agreal Dossier”, once revealed (9 pdfs in English of more than 400 pages, with biostatistical, pharmaceutical, medical, toxicological data, tables, etc.) takes time to study and is valid as evidence when it is revealed.

In 2015, for the first time in the world, the “Agreal Dossier” was used as evidence, which Sanofi considers as CONFIDENTIAL since it was prepared between 2006 and 2007.

Those affected now appeal to the Constitutional Court to request Justice and defending fundamental rights of the women who continue fighting despite the scam and damage to which they are being subjected today.

The consumer and user defense law says that the statute of limitations for claiming civil liability from the laboratory is three years from when the perpetrator of the damage is known. In Spain Agreal Syndrome was never recognized. The Dossier was hidden and, to this day, its use by the AEMPS and the laboratory is prevented.
