Today officially started the construction of a new training ground at the club base of CSKA in Pancharevo. The pitch of the existing pitch 3 will be completely removed and replaced with a new super modern surface which will be used for training by various teams of the Army Club. This was reported on the CSKA website.
After removing all layers of the previous terrain, construction of a new drainage system, a modern irrigation system with the possibility of programming different irrigation regimes, construction of a new soil layer and a modern natural grass cover with the latest generation of grass will proceed.
Adjacent, the development of additional space is already underway, on which an auxiliary field will be located, whose grass, drainage and irrigation cover will also be of the highest class. It will be designed for goalkeeper training and team warm-ups in order to reduce the load on the main pitch. The total training area of the two will be over 10 acres, and the auxiliary field will also be used as a field farm to compensate for the other fields if needed.
It is planned that the entire activity of removing the existing earth mass and placing the new coating will be done within a month.
The project was financed by the joint company “Sports Properties of the Bulgarian Army” between CSKA and the state, which also takes care of the base in Pancharevo.
In the coming months, the complete replacement of the other two training fields at the club base is planned.
