Adif has tendered, for an amount of 12.3 million euros, the construction of the new La Tenera de Pinto station, on the C-3 line, of the Madrid suburban network.

The new station will have a 450-square-meter passenger building on one floor with a lobby, areas for management, toilets and a facilities area. The succession of ‘skins’ with which to count on its façade will provide the interior with different degrees of lighting.
The building will serve two platforms 225 meters long and 6.5 meters wide, with shelters and partially covered with a one hundred meter long canopy. They will be connected with an underpass with elevators and fixed stairs.
The action also includes adapting the rail yard, building the platform in the Aranjuez direction and providing the necessary length of parking to maintain the operating conditions of the line, in addition to the electrification of the new sections of track and the adaptation of security facilities, communications and signaling.

The approach area to the station will also be adapted with a space reserve for parking and interchange with sustainable modes, such as bicycles, scooters, and electric motorcycles, among others, in addition to a passenger pick-up area.
This action is part of the Madrid Commuter Plan in terms of stations, such as the work to consolidate Chamartn-Clara Campoamor as a strategic commuter node, the new Tres Cantos Norte, Parla Norte and Soto del Real stations, and the remodeling of those of Mstoles-El Soto and Alcal de Henares.
