There are still five months until the start of 2025 and more than seven months until the announcement itself, but 41 models are already known from the long list of candidates for European Car of 2025. The competition includes all new models that are already on sale or will be on sale before the end of this year in five or more European markets.
The voting process has two stages. In the first, the long list will be reduced to seven nominated candidates, and then the winner of the prestigious election will be chosen from among them.
The wider shortlist must be finalized by November 15, the first round of voting will take place on November 22, and the seven shortlisted cars will be announced on November 25. The jury consists of 59 journalists from 22 European countries, and earlier this year they selected the new Renault Scenic as European Car 2024.
