The Committee for Payment of Contributions to International Organizations held its last meeting for the year 2024 to follow up on the implementation of the results of previous meetings, and to refer financial allocations to embassies for referral with the organizations according to the spatial scope.
The committee explained that it reviewed claims from 140 international organizations, and approved the payment of 113 organizations, while the payment of 20 organizations was postponed until their documents were completed, while it was not possible to pay 6 organizations due to the lack of technical and administrative cooperation between them and the Libyan institutions.
The committee also approved the electronic system to receive claims from various state institutions according to the required documents, and referred it to ministries and government agencies to provide a technical position on the extent of benefit from paying contributions in developing cooperation with relevant international organizations.
The committee confirmed that the National Unity Government has dealt with this troubled file for many years, and has paid the Libyan state’s obligations for previous years according to priorities and type of activity.
The committee thanked the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya for their cooperation in facilitating and completing the procedures, which enabled the government to make payments according to the approved dates.
