Geneva: Kovid is reported to be behind the three-fold increase in deaths in the world. From the confirmation of the corona virus in 2019 to January 2022, it is estimated that 18 million people have died. This is three times more than the official records indicate. This is according to a study conducted by a team of corona experts at the University of Washington in the US in 191 countries.
Deaths are thought to have been caused by viruses and infections. The virus can make conditions worse, such as heart disease or lung disease. This leads to death. The researchers collected data from various government websites, the World Mortality Database, the Human Mortality Database and the European Statistical Office.
Bolivia, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia and Lesotho had the highest death toll.
