Coimbatore: A petition has been submitted to the District Collector demanding that action should be taken against the officials who constructed the road without repairing the broken drinking water pipe.
Petition by Aam Aadmi Party State Coordinator Akbar to Coimbatore Collector:
On the Coimbatore Racecourse Scheme Road, water was wasted for a month due to a broken water pipe. Without repairing the broken pipe, they have re-constructed the road in the same place.
Water is leaking on the newly constructed road. Corporation officials were informed about this but no action was taken.
Action should be taken against such contractors and irresponsible officials who waste public tax money. Steps should be taken to repair the broken water pipe and repair the damaged road.
This is stated in the petition.
