This time, the holiday of public servants starts from April 10 on the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Bengali New Year. And the office will open on April 15. However, many people are spending 10 consecutive days of Eid holiday with a two-day holiday on April 8 and 9.
On Tuesday (April 9) these information was revealed by the Secretariat.
It is known that government employees who have taken two days of extra leave, this time their Eid holiday has started from April 5. Because, according to the official calendar calculation, April 5 and 6 Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays. April 7 is the official holiday of Holy Shabbat. On April 8 and 9, government offices, courts, banks and insurance will be open. But in that case, if you take two days leave on April 8 and 9, you have the opportunity to enjoy 10 consecutive days leave till April 14. Because according to the calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr is an official holiday until April 10, 11 and 12. Again, April 13 is Saturday weekend and April 14 is Pahela Boishakh holiday. Therefore, government officials and employees are spending 10 days together with only two days off in between.
For those who did not take the additional two days leave, five days leave will be effective from April 10, including the Eid and Pahela Baisakh holidays. There are 6 days of holiday in newspapers this year. The Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) has announced a holiday from April 9 to April 14. Due to this, no newspaper will be published in the country from April 10 to April 15. However, the country’s online media and television channels are open under special management.
