Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc has received the gold medal of the National Export Trophy for its outstanding contribution to the export of electrical and electronics products during the financial year 2021-2022. Bangladesh’s best exporting multinational electronics company won the national export trophy in the previous financial year as well.

A total of 77 companies from 32 product sectors were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals of the National Export Trophy on Sunday (July 14) in the capital’s Osmani Smriti Auditorium in recognition of their contribution to foreign exchange collection in the country. Among them, Walton won the gold medal in the export of electrical and electronics products.

Former chairman and current director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc SM Nurul Alam Rezvi received the gold medal of the national export trophy from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the chief guest present at the event. Tipu Munshi, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Commerce, was present as a special guest at this time.

In response to receiving the award, Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries SM Nurul Alam Rezvi said that Bangladesh is now exporting electrical and electronics products abroad after being completely dependent on imports. Undoubtedly, it is very proud. In recognition of this, Walton was awarded the National Export Trophy by the concerned authorities of the Government.

He said that Walton is creating a bright future for Bangladesh in the sustainable development of the electrical and electronics manufacturing industry. Currently exporting ‘Made in Bangladesh’ electrical and electronics products to more than 40 countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and America. Walton is gaining a great reputation in the international market along with a lot of foreign currency. By doing this, the image of Bangladesh is getting brighter in the outside world.

According to Walton’s Global Business Branch, if the country’s export-oriented electronics companies are given the opportunity to invest abroad, the way to expand the export market in the developed world will be more smooth. Besides, if bank loans are provided to these institutions at easy interest rates, the export income of the country’s electrical and electronic products will increase several times.

Walton is moving forward in the international market with the aim of becoming one of the best global electronics brands in the world. Working to expand the export market to Europe, America, Australia and other developed world markets. The engineers of Walton’s Research and Innovation Center are constantly researching European and American standards, climate and customer needs, along with innovative products of the world’s latest technology and features.
