Naina Menon has come a long way from discovering herself to creating her own identity. Naina Menon who used to wonder in school and college why she was different from others?
The same Naina has proved that being a transwoman is not her identity. Since childhood, she had a doubt in her mind as to why she was different from other boys. During that time, she loved playing with dolls and wearing saris. When she went to college with all these doubts,
Till then she used to think that maybe she is the one with some problem. But when she went to college, she got introduced to social media. Then she came to know that she is not alone, there are many people like her who are struggling with their Gender Identity.
Naina soon realized that change can only come through education. When she became self-reliant by studying engineering and then getting a job, she started living her dreams, started living like a woman.

During that time, she lost the support of her family and friends, faced loneliness and despair but did not break down! Ultimately, she decided to transition
And she chose to become the voice of millions of people who hide their identity out of fear of society. She joined the LGBTQ community and took the initiative to educate transwomen and resorted to writing to create awareness. But even after doing so, she did not stop and today Naina is the country’s first transwoman.
By becoming a pilot, she has become an example for many. To bring about true change, it is important to make yourself strong and Naina’s story is a true proof of this.
