Wine is an expensive drink, but its price increases exponentially as it ages. The thieves who understood this were stealing the wine.
The robbers had planned the robbery very precisely. They had stayed at the same restaurant three times in the months leading up to the robbery. Both arrived at the hotel with fake passports.
The two men committed the theft at five in the morning. The young man was stealing the electronic key. They wrapped the wine bottles in a towel and put them in a travel bag and left the hotel. A year later, the thieves were caught on the border between Montenegro and Croatia. The wine bottles were not recovered.
