The Tagansky court of Moscow blocked a website connected with the platform “Eye of God”; the prosecutor’s office of Moscow acted as the plaintiff in the case. The defendant, an individual entrepreneur Evgeny Antipov, was not present at the hearing. Mr. Antipov is the founder of the “Eye of God” platform.
Eye of God is a Russian platform specializing in the provision of information security solutions and services and the development of big data analysis software. Created in 2020.
“The administrative plaintiff asks to recognize the information posted on the Internet sites … https: //eyeofgod.group, prohibited for distribution in the Russian Federation,” – follows from the document posted on the website of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow. During the court session, it was established that “the prosecutor’s office identified sites that contain information addressed to an unlimited number of persons on the provision of services for providing access to personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation for a fee”.
“Recognize information posted on the Internet information and telecommunications network on Internet sites … h … information, the dissemination of which is prohibited in the Russian Federation,” the court’s decision says. The court instructed Roskomnadzor to take measures to restrict access to information. The decision can be appealed on appeal.
In June, Roskomnadzor filed a lawsuit against the founder of the Eyes of God, accusing him of violating the right to privacy. A court in Moscow ruled to block the service. In July, a database of 774 thousand clients of the “Eyes of God” was made publicly available on the Internet.
