Santander, February 28, 2023.- The First Section of the Provincial Court of Cantabria has issued an order in which it decides not to review the sentence of a man who was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison as the author of a crime of sexual assault on a seventeen-year-old girl. In response to the legal representation of the prisoner, who requested a sentence reduction based on current legislation, the Court explains that at the time a sentence was imposed “well above the legal minimum, taking into account the seriousness of the conduct prosecuted and the dangerousness of the author”.
