The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia has sentenced to 22 years and four months a man who killed his sentimental partner with a shot to the head in the house where they both lived, in the Valencian town of Castelló, with a pistol for which he did not have a license. The sentence, handed down based on the verdict issued by a popular jury on June 20, considers him the author of a crime of murder, for which he appreciates the aggravating circumstance of kinship, and of illegal possession of weapons. For the first, the penalty of 20 years and one day in prison applies and for the second, two years and four months in prison.
