The Irkutsk regional court sentenced the “Tulun maniac” Pavel Shuvalov to 24 years in a strict regime colony, according to the court’s website.
The court found Shuvalov guilty of a number of rapes and sexual assault, as well as the murder of women associated with rape and sexual assault. The man was sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment with restraint of liberty for a period of 1 year and 10 months, serving in a strict regime colony. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
The court found that Shuvalov committed crimes in the period from 2000 to 2019 in the city of Tulun, Irkutsk region. There are 116 volumes in the criminal case against the man.
