The mayoress, Gema Igual, today welcomed the participants in the 15 projects selected for ‘Coworking Santander 2023’, a program promoted by the City Council that is in its tenth edition and which, as she has highlighted, “has established itself as a optimal tool to support innovative entrepreneurship”.
“There are already 10 editions of a program that has given us great joy because it has allowed many entrepreneurs to start up and strengthen their business projects in Santander, which greatly satisfies us and encourages us to continue with this line of work”, he pointed out. Equal.
At the opening ceremony, the mayoress was accompanied by the Councilor for Employment and Entrepreneurship, Chabela Gómez-Barreda, as well as the program coordinator, Eugenio De Juana, and the mentors Consuelo Verdú, Daniel Torres and Javier Rivero.
The councilor recalled that this program is aimed at entrepreneurs with a business project in an early stage of development or with a recently created company that will be offered training, tutoring and advice.
The objective is to increase the probability of success of the projects in a short period of time, identifying those with the greatest potential for development.
In this tenth edition, there are 15 proposals that have been selected after a period of interviews and analysis of each of the ideas that have been presented to the City Council and the study of their potential and projection.
“These are ambitious, innovative projects with enormous possibilities of success, which, without a doubt, can materialize through the support and advice that we are going to offer them from the City Council,” indicated Igual.
As he has detailed, among the proposals that will participate in ‘Coworking Santander 2023’ are art workshops complemented with coffee service, online stores with products from Cantabria, augmented reality specialties applied to marketing in restaurants and hotels and also to industries, companies or museums, as well as a jewelry and restoration workshop.
Business initiatives for the organization of events, market place of services and all kinds of training courses, and personal development projects and ontological coaches also participate, as well as entrepreneurs who, having recently created their company, want to redirect it and give it a new impetus through digitization, internet presence and other development initiatives.
Development of the program
The Coworking Santander 2023 program takes place over 4 months, a period during which a team of mentors accompanies the participants in the process of maturation and development of their business project, with personalized advice to face the different stages of starting up a business. business, the search for partners or financing.
Participants will also attend more than 50 hours of workshops and group training to promote the development of entrepreneurship skills and management of business projects, and to different events, such as networking days or meetings with relevant actors for entrepreneurs.
Throughout the program, they will have a tutoring process that will accompany them in a personalized way in the design of their business model, with 22-hour mentoring support with specialists in areas that the entrepreneur himself demands.
