“The Crown” Season 6 Premieres with Star-Studded Red Carpet Event
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were reunited with their estranged brother, The Duke of Sussex on Sunday evening, but not as fans know it. Instead, three talented actors hit the red carpet at the Netflix show’s series six premiere at LA’s Westwood Regency Village Theatre alongside their co-stars.
Ed McVey, Meg Bellamy, and Luther Ford, who play William, Kate, and Harry respectively, left fans in awe as they portrayed the roles so brilliantly that they looked worlds away from their royal subjects.
Meg Bellamy, who plays Kate during her time at St Andrew’s University, stunned in a plunging black dress with a jeweled trim. Ed McVey shirked William’s sleek tuxedos in favor of a piped white shirt with an elaborate necktie while Luther Ford looked incredible in a ruched satin sleeveless top with wide-leg pants and heeled boots.
The dating and romance of William and Kate are to be depicted in this season of “The Crown.” The series will explore how the future King and Queen met and fell in love during their time at university.
According to the characters in the Netflix series “The Crown,” William and Kate became friends in their first year at University before romance blossomed after William saw ‘hot’ Kate strut down a charity fashion show catwalk in a sheer dress. They moved into a quaint two-story home off campus, before eventually marrying in 2011.
The premiere was also attended by Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Princess Diana. She looked chic in an off-shoulder Bottega Veneta black dress. Younger counterparts of Prince William and Harry, Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards, also made an appearance.
More celebrities joined the event, such as Jonathan Pryce, the actor who plays the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Ava Michelle. CEO of Netflix Ted Sarandos was also present, looking sharp in a black suit.
The actors and the crew of “The Crown” premiere certainly displayed that the upcoming season will be something to watch.
