Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel affirmed his country’s unconditional and permanent support for Syria in all circumstances.
President Cannell said during an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV: “After many years of fierce war against Syria, it remained present as a state and its people remained united,” noting its courage and steadfastness in the face of the aggressive onslaught that was aimed at destroying it.
President Cannell strongly condemned the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people and the Western aggressions against them, affirming his country’s rejection of the Israeli aggression against Syria, a few days after it was subjected to the earthquake.
On the possibility of visiting Syria, President Cannell said: “I think we will be able to visit Syria this year.. It is our wish to directly express our admiration for its steadfastness.”
