Baghdad – WAA
Technical analyst Bassam Raouf believes that our national team squandered a victory that was within reach, given the state of helplessness shown by the opponent, pointing out that some of our national team players were not at the required level during the match.

Raouf told the (INA) today, Thursday:
“The current Kuwaiti team may be the worst in the history of Kuwaiti football in several respects, as it was unable to organize a single technical phrase during the ninety minutes and did not pose any danger to our team despite the numerical shortage,” he said, indicating that “the opponent was unable to play advanced football, especially in the second half, so our team was supposed to win by one goal at least with this numerical shortage.”
“There is a belief that some of our national team players did not perform at the required level in this sensitive stage despite their experience and big names, in addition to the changing style of play and the instability of the team’s formation, all of which affect the results,” Raouf added, stressing that “our national team is considered a team of rounds more than it is a team of matches, so you do not find it consistent in a certain performance over the course of ninety minutes, and there are those who rely on the physical aspect of many players.”
Raouf continued, “The national team played two matches and the league is about to start and all the players will join their clubs, so no player has an excuse in the upcoming matches.”
