Alpine has opened orders and announced prices for Spain for the A290, which starts at 38,700 euros in GT version without discounts or subsidies. It is also offered by multiple credit options with a fee from 290 euros per month.
With its muscular dimensions and moderate weight of 1,479 kg, the A290 has all the hallmarks of Alpine: performance, agility and customized handling.
With a maximum torque of 300 Nm, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in only 6.4 seconds with the most powerful engine. Thanks to its multi-link axle and its 4 shock absorbers with hydraulic suspensions, the A290 boasts a sporty road feel while remaining comfortable on a daily basis. Its dimensions are compact: length of 3,990 mm, width of 1,820 mm, height of 1,520 mm and wheelbase of 2,530 mm. This 5-door, 5-seat city car has an engine capacity of 326 liters.
The front of the A290 is distinguished by the X-fold in the full LED light signature, a nod to the adhesive strips on rally car headlights of yesteryear. Wide tracks and sharp lines give it a sporty Alpine look. Some elements of its design, such as the front bumper and rear diffuser, refer to the A110, the model from which it inherited the 4-piston monobloc Brembo front brake calipers. Generous 19-inch wheels complete the set.
The A290 is available in four colors: Deep Black (standard), Alpine Vision Blue, Matte Tornado Gray and Snow White.
