The Dacia Sandero was the best-selling car to individuals in Spain

A car has remained at the forefront of private vehicle registrations in Spain for the last decade. The Dacia Sanderowith a total of 20,911 units sold in 2022. The Dacia best seller has managed to maintain this leadership, according to the manufacturer, thanks to “the best quality-design-price ratio on the market.”

Almost a quarter of a million Spaniards have purchased a Sandero since its launch in 2008. 78% of customers have chosen the Stepway version, which has a design more focused on off-road, as well as the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engine. ), which enjoys the Eco label, already accounts for 35% of sales.

What’s more, Dacia is the leader in this LPG in Spain, with 85% market share, and the Sandero the best-selling model. Customers of this technology enjoy double autonomy, since the engines can operate with gas or gasoline.

The success of the Dacia brand is also confirmed by the rest of its range: Duster (Top 5 C-SUV for individuals), Jogger (leader of the C Break Segment for individuals) and Spring (the best-selling urban electric vehicle in segment A, for individuals ). A success that will continue in 2023 with the launch of the hybrid Jogger.

Francisco Hidalgo, general director of Dacia in Spain and Portugal, has been very proud of Sandero’s decade of leadership in Spain and optimistic regarding the commercial dynamics of the brand in Spain in 2023. “Our range will be enriched with the New Dacia Jogger Hybrid in 2023 and we will also already have the new brand identity throughout the range and even in our commercial network. I am sure that the new emblem, the new colors and the new visual identity will contribute to further increasing the success of the Dacia brand in our country.”

Talking about Renaultthe rhombus has also finished 2022 as the most sold in the market of electric commercial vehicles. This position has been held since 2018 thanks to its complete range, made up of the 100% electric Kangoo Van E-Tech and the 100% electric Master E-Tech. Within the range, the 100% electric Kangoo Van E-Tech ranks as the “best-seller”, being the best-selling electric commercial vehicle in Spain over the last five years. A range that will be completed in 2023 with the launch on the market of the 100% electric E-Tech Trafic Van and, for the first time in the brand’s history, of the Kangoo in a combi body and 100% electric E-Tech engine.

In 2021 Renault began its offensive in segment C in line with the Renault strategic plan with Arkana and in 2022 it has been reinforced by the electric Megane E-Tech and the new Austral. In this sense, the brand has increased sales in segment C in the private channel by 7.2%.

Regarding the electrified market, the Renault range continues to conquer the Spanish market, with 2022 being the first year in which more than half of the Renault vehicles sold are electrified (50.8% compared to 30% in 2021).
