As the incidence of corona in Tamil Nadu continues to rise, the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare has released a report on the current situation. Accordingly, out of 1,56,281 samples tested in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours, 17,934 have been confirmed infected. The impact has risen to 17,934 today from 15,379 yesterday.
The total number of corona confirmed persons in the state has increased to 28 lakh 47 thousand 589. The vulnerability rate is 11.5 percent.
A maximum of 7372 people have been confirmed infected in Chennai today. 1840 cases have been confirmed in Chengalpattu, 981 in Coimbatore, 620 in Kanchipuram, 931 in Tiruvallur and 498 in Madurai.
Today, 4,039 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 27 lakh 21 thousand 725.
Today, 19 people have died from the corona virus infection in a single day. The death toll from the corona has risen to 36,905. The number of people receiving treatment for corona has increased to 88,959 across Tamil Nadu.
