TVE’s El Conquistador warms up. And it does so with a first promo in which the first images of the environment in which the adventure reality show on the public channel will take place are revealed. The expectation to know in detail all the ins and outs of the contest is maximum, and even more in view of the audience success that El Conquis has reaped on ETB2 in recent years. The specific dates of its premiere have not yet been announced, but everything indicates that El Conquistador on TVE will see the light of day once the summer holidays are over, already in autumn.
What has been released has been the first images of the space presented by Julian Iantzi and Raquel Sánchez Silva. And it is that in the first promo you can already see a first panoramic view of a wild beach located in the Hitises National Park of the Dominican Republic. At one point, the veteran Raquel Sánchez Silva takes the floor and presents TVE’s new bet. “This is ‘El Conquistador”, she affirms before the one from Lesaka describes the space as “the most extreme adventure on television”.
It is not the only thing that is already known about El Conquistador on TVE in recent days. And it is that the public channel has also advanced small brushstrokes of the hostile environment in which the 33 contestants who take part in the adventure will move. In fact, the fauna that lives in the middle of the jungle, in the mangroves or caves in the area is not friendly at all: the contestants will live among cockatoos, snakes and all kinds of mosquitoes that will put their resistance to the limit. Always, of course, in very demanding environmental conditions, with high temperatures, high humidity and tropical storms that will muddy their camps and make coexistence difficult.
Maximum demand in El Conquistador on TVE
TVE’s El Conquistador, one of the great bets of the season, will follow the same dynamics as El Conquis: it presents an idyllic setting in which 33 participants will put their resistance to the limit and will have to overcome all kinds of tests. In them, not only the physical qualities of each contestant will be important, but also the mental aspect and the strategy that each one follows to overcome the challenges that they will have to carry out, for a month, seven days a week.
The presenters of El Conquistador on TVE, Julian Iantzi and Raquel Sánchez Silva, already advanced it when they stated that “when the body cannot pull the mind it can pull the body, but the body cannot pull the mind”. That is to say, the objective is to put the contestants to the “limit”, both physically and mentally, and teach them that “when you are screwed you have to bring out the conqueror that you have inside”. All through extreme tests that are only recorded once, without prior preparation, and among which are some “practically impossible” to overcome and games in which coordination and teamwork are essential during the first part of the contest.

Julian Iantzi has developed a large part of his career in front of the ETB cameras but he is a face known at the state level for his participation in La Sexta programs or on TVE itself, where he was one of the MasterChef contestants. For her part, Raquel Sánchez Silva has gone through various channels-she started on the newscast as an editor and occasional presenter-and she knows the dynamics of this type of reality show well, since she hosted Survivors or Big Brother VIP. Both have also been presenters of the running of the bulls of San Fermín.
Three teams: girls, boys and mixed
The contestants will be divided into three teams that will have to pass various tests that will test their mental and physical strength. Joana Pastrana (former boxer), Patxi Salinas (former Athletic Bilbao soccer player) and Cesc Escolà (fitness teacher at Operación Triunfo), will be the captains of the three teams (girls, boys and mixed).
