Thievery Corporation, the pioneering duo from Washington, has been one of the most famous figures in electronic music for years, with an unfathomable stream of influences starting from the dub/reggae traditions and reaching the jazz and bossanova of the 60s. Formed in 1995 by Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, in the following years they not only evolved into one of the most successful names in the genre, but defined the downtempo/trip hop scene with their innovative performances and great songs. .
Their journey began with the now classic, “Sounds From The Thievery Hi-Fi” (1996), which laid the foundation for their signature sound and what was to come. “Conspiracy Mirror” (2000), “The Richest Man in Babylon” (2002), “The Cosmic Game” (2005), as well as the more recent “Temple I & I” (2017) and “Temple Treasures” ” (2018), was appreciated by the music press, and the duo gained a dedicated audience that follows them every step of the way.
In their three-decade career, Thievery Corporation has gained a reputation for their amazing live performances, taking to the biggest music stages in the world, always captivating audiences with their personal and eclectic sound. On Tuesday, the 9th of July, we will be pleased to host one of the favorite bands of the domestic audience again, nights of guaranteed quality and enjoyment.

Black Pumas

The Black Pumas were formed in 2017, in Texas, by songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist Adrian Quesada. They burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut in 2019, which was not only recognized as one of the best releases of the year but also earned them a Grammy nomination in the “Album of the Year” category.

Combining elements of soul, funk, R&B and psychedelic rock, Black Pumas, thanks to Burton’s amazing vocals and Quesada’s masterful arrangements, managed to collect 6 more Grammy nominations in a short period of time, for some of the best songs in recent years to sign. (“Colours”, “Black Moon Rising”, “Fire”) and to sell out tours in America and Europe.

This year, the group is preparing for a new world tour, bringing in their baggage the long-awaited second album that was released a few weeks ago. “Chronicles of a Diamond” is an impressive new stage, full of power, passion and more originality than ever before. The album’s first two singles, “More Than A Love Song” and “Mrs. Postman”, they have already surpassed 6 million streams and have topped American and domestic radio.

We are very happy that we will have the opportunity to enjoy the Black Pumas as they watch Greece before the start, among the small shows they will give in the summer in Europe, in a night that will not be forgotten.

The Budos Band

Based in Staten Island, New York and drawing on their love of James Brown’s funk, Fela Kuti’s afrobeat and Mulatu Astatke’s Ethio-jazz, The Budos Band created a distinctive sound that landed them on the legendary Daptone Records, where they released some of the genres. best records of the last 20 years.
During this time they have provided their services, as session musicians, to all the big names of the season, from Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones, to Amy Winehouse and Lee Fields, and thanks to their rich discourse they have gained many fans celebrities such as Madonna (who invited them to play at her birthday party), Iggy Pop and the Wu-Tang Clan.
In 2023, they began an important new chapter of their journey, establishing Diamond West Records and releasing the EP “Frontier’s Edge”, which offers an even more adventurous side to their sound. On Tuesday 9th July, we will be lucky enough to be present at one of the most disturbing and enjoyable bands of our time, in a night that is sure to be remembered.

Andes

Anduze was born in St. Croix of the US Virgin Islands and lived for several years in Los Angeles before moving to Athens in 2016. Since 2012 he has created a special band with Marcus Fureder aka Parov Stelar. After their first collaborations on the songs “This Game” and “Josephine”, the duo collaborated on the project Stelartronic & Anduze, before Anduze finally became a permanent member of the band, and is now one of the main agents of Fureder’s songs.

In 2021, Anduze released the solo album, “Aura”, on one of Europe’s most important electronic music labels, IRMA Records, collaborating with well-known artists such as Gramatik, Jestofunk, LTJ Xperience, Satin Jackets, among others. Apart from his performances over the years with Parov Stelar in Athens, he is also loved by the Greek public for songs such as “High Hopes” (his collaboration with Man Called Shadow) and “Defibrillator”, which rose on domestic radio benchmarks.
