With the participation of 600 students and teachers from all Arsakeia Middle and High Schools, as well as many public schools of the Prefecture of Ioannina, the Arsakeia Science Day was held on Friday, February 9, at the Arsakeia Schools of Ioannina.


The event initially included speeches by the president of the Academy of Athens Stamatios Krimizis, emeritus administrator of Space Programs at Johns Hopkins University and chief investigator of the NASA Voyager 1 & 2 space missions, and emeritus professor of Experimental Particle Physics NTUA Evangelos N. Gazis, who presented how we arrived at the types of elementary associations and their characteristics. In the second part, didactic scenarios were presented by middle school teachers and demonstration experiments by the managers of EKPE Thesprotias V. Noussi and Ioannina N. Panagiotidis, by the Chemistry professor K. Skombridis and by the students.
The presentation of the teaching scenarios was chaired by the professors of the University of Ioannina, Konstantinos Kotsis (Physics), Konstantinos Skombridis (Chemistry), the emeritus professor G. Thyfronitis (Biology) and the assistant professor Nik. Bakas (Physics) and the Advisor PE04 Dim. Crow. Physics professor K. Kotsis made the address of the conference.
Greetings were addressed by the deputy regional governor Agni Nakou, the deputy mayor of Education Stefanos Sintos, the president of the Physics Department S. Cohen and the director of Secondary Education of Ioannina Stamatia Logothetis.
The 3rd, 9th, 10th High School, the Music School, the Bizani and Katsika High Schools, the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th GEL of Ioannina as well as the Eleusis High School participated in the day.
