(Amant Gushkuri) Salman Akram Raja raised an objection against Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa during the hearing in the Supreme Court on the appeal of the Election Commission regarding the formation of election tribunals in Punjab.

In the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a 5-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa held a hearing on the appeal of the Election Commission regarding the formation of election tribunals in Punjab. Salman Akram Raja objected to the Chief Justice, on which Qazi Faiz Isa said that if you want to separate yourself, then do it, now the Attorney General should read the order of the previous hearing, meanwhile Hamid Khan said that we should hear your case. During the hearing, Election Commission’s lawyer Sikander Bashir told the court that the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court has established 4 tribunals and the Election Commission will appoint the remaining 4. Have you found it?, Lawyer Election Commission said that yes, because the law had changed, now the Election Commission will appoint 4 new tribunals.

The Chief Justice remarked that the term of Parliament is 5 years which cannot be extended, cases with stay orders also come to the Supreme Court, solve the matters which are not of the court, I am tired of making a request but no one. Did not bother, look at the constitution, what the constitution says, there is a book of the constitution, but no one cares to read the constitution.

Justice Jamal Mandukhel said that the Chief Justice of the High Court is not an ordinary person, he is an honor for both the Election Commission and the High Courts. The number of tribunals depends on the cases, decide on the number of judges looking at the cases, if the number of judges is reduced looking at the cases it will be unfair, I don’t know how many cases are pending in Balochistan or Punjab.

Later, the Supreme Court reserved its decision on the appeal of the Election Commission regarding the decision of the Lahore High Court regarding the formation of election tribunals.
