As this video spread rapidly on social media and created a lot of excitement, the police who first arrested Ramachandramurthy from the same area in connection with this case, secondly arrested Maheswaran who was hiding in Sivakasi of Virudhunagar district.

And on the order of District Collector Akash, the grocery store which was helping to sow this caste untouchability was pulled down and sealed by the government officials including Sankarenkovil District Collector Babu in the presence of Sankarenkovil District Collector Subbulakshmi.
