On Monday, February 28, a delegation from the Ryazan region arrived in Armenia on a three-day business mission.

As part of the work, Deputy Prime Minister Artyom Nikitin met with Minister Counselor of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Armenia Maxim Seleznev.

The host country was also presented with the socio-economic potential of the region.

The Ryazan delegation includes representatives of business support institutions, including the Export Center, 15 export-oriented companies.

“Over the past year, we have shown very good results of economic development in general. The volume of exports in the Ryazan region more than tripled, this is the fastest growth among all subjects of the Russian Federation. Our investment growth is over 45%,” Nikitin said.

According to him, the showroom of Ryazan enterprises, which will open in Yerevan and will work until April 15, will be one of the important steps in promoting Ryazan products, establishing new mutually beneficial business contacts and trade relations. According to the deputy chairman, the experience of showrooms in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has become successful. “We were able to receive about 1 billion rubles of contracts as a result of the implementation of these projects. I hope that in Armenia we will also be able to adequately work after the completion of the showroom,” Nikitin stressed.

“Establishing close economic ties with our closest allies and partners takes on additional importance in today’s challenging times. I hope that this business mission will be the very small brick that will create a solid building of economic relations between the Ryazan region and Armenia in the future,” said Maxim Seleznev, Counsellor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.

Recall that the business mission was organized on behalf of the Governor Nikolai Lyubimov. The work of the delegation is headed by Deputy Chairman Artyom Nikitin. The head of the region, Nikolai Lyubimov, has decided to cancel his trip to Armenia due to the introduction of a high alert regime.
