The leaders of the Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis spoke to the journalists after exchanging views with the chief advisor
About three weeks after taking charge as the chief adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The seven Islamic parties proposed several reforms in the meeting. One of the demands is that no one should be prime minister more than twice.
Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Secretary General Maulana Mamunul Haque said this after the meeting at Yamuna, the residence of the Chief Adviser on Saturday (August 31).
Several reform proposals have been presented in the meeting with the chief adviser, Mamunul Haque told reporters, “I have demanded radical reform of the election system.” Trust and faith in Allah should be restored in the constitution and no anti-Islamic law should come. No one should be prime minister more than twice.
Maulana Mamunul Haque claimed that all the killings during the anti-discrimination student movement should be tried through a tribunal if necessary and said, “I have demanded speedy trial of all the killings without delay and I have demanded that all the cases against the detained activists be withdrawn within one month.
Regarding the chief advisor’s call for cooperation to the interim government in the coming days, Mamunul Haque said, “We have responded to the cooperation.” Make necessary reforms so that elections are held. I have also demanded that there should be no delay. However, no specific time has been fixed by us regarding the necessary reforms.
The exchange meeting with the Chief Advisor started at 3 pm on Saturday at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna. Delegations of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Khilafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, Hefazat Islam, Jamiat Ulamae Islam, Khilafat Andolan and Nezame Islam participated in it. The Chief Adviser is scheduled to hold separate exchange meetings with several parties and alliances till 8 pm.
